Our one-year old classroom provides an environment of exploration for our children with plenty of room for movement and physical development. Our teachers encourage the toddlers to listen to and follow very simple directions. We encourage their verbal skills to develop by reading to them often and talking to them about the world around them. Sign language is also used in order to strengthen their communication skills.
Our teachers work to foster social skills such as listening, learning how to treat one another, problem solving techniques, and manners. They also foster cognitive, motor, verbal, and social skills. A bright, cheerful classroom encourages stimulation along with songs, puzzles, crafts, and stories.
